I have been teaching for 20 years. I received my Bachelor of Education with a focus in Elementary education from the University of South Africa. I worked in public and private schools in South Africa teaching 1-7th grades and also some 8-11 Math and Chemistry. My family and I moved to the USA in 2010 and I joined the faculty at GNCS in 2012 as a Math specialist for 3-6th grades. In 2012-2013 school year I moved into the 3/4th grade homeroom slot. I have worked with GNCS teaching pre-school, kindergarten, and 3rd-6th grades until 2018. During this time I obtained a Master’s Degree in Special Education and Integrated Curriculum from the American College of Education earning special recognition from the College for academic achievement. I have returned to GNCS this year in a part-time capacity to teach Reading Language Arts and Science and social studies to 3rd and 4th grade. When I am not at school I enjoy reading, playing with my dogs, sitting by the fire in winter with my family, playing the piano, and painting.
